Shipment - A few problems in this area. I was originally charged twice for a single order. Also, I had placed my order on 9/29 and did not receive the stand until the first week in December. So on this one I would have to rate poorly. However, I corresponded with you by email during this process. You corrected the additional charge and you responded to my questions very promptly. So the customer service balanced out the problems.

Completeness - All the parts were included, with extra dowels.

Instructions - Included. Simple and easy to follow.

Installation - Quick and easy.

Straightness/Stability - Tree was 10'. My wife's very picky eye said it was straight 360 degrees. And no wobble whatsoever.

Water Capacity - More than enough. Also much easier to fill that other stands because the base sits lower to the ground and you're not fighting the bottom branches to lift up the pitcher.

Harold,

I've been helping my father-in-law put up their Christmas tree for about 5 years now. In that time, we've been through 3 different stands and every year it was a hassle. So this year I decided to look for a new stand as a gift that would solve all that. I did a lot of research on the internet and I was pretty specific about what I was looking for. I wanted something that would be strong and durable, not cheap plastic. I wanted something that would be stable, so I didn't have to worry about the tree falling. I wanted something easy to install. And, most importantly, I wanted something adjustable. This combo was not easy to find, but your stand fit the bill perfectly. I can honestly say that I have never had a Christmas tree experience that was so easy and headache free. I would have only one suggestion for improvement. A small velcro-closure pouch riveted to to the underneath of the stand on the inner surface of the outer lip. This would be a very convenient place to keep the dowels and screws so that all components of the stand could be in one place. But all in all, you've created a wonderful product. I will adding one to my wish list for next year.

Thank You,
Sean S

Comments from Lori S - 2009 Super Jumbo Standtastic Customer

Dear Harold,

Thank you so much for the Standtastic Super Jumbo.  We went out and cut down our own Christmas tree this year.  We came home with a tree 16 feet tall and weighing over 400 pounds.  After and extensive Internet search, this stand was the only one that we thought would hold our tree, yet didn't cost a small fortune.

The stand arrived on the date promised.  I was surprised at how light it is.  We set up the Christmas tree in less than an hour.  The four braces were exactly what we needed to get the tree standing straight, tall and stable.  I filled the stand with water (it holds a LOT of water), and covered the stand with a regular sized tree skirt.  It didn't show under the tree at all.

We will use the Standtastic every Christmas from now on, whether we have an 8 foot or an18 foot Christmas tree.  We have no doubt that the tree will be straight, stable, and the water will never run dry.

Thank you so much for a great product.

Lori S

Comments from Ray A - 2009 Super Jumbo Customer

Harold,

Thank you, and Happy New Year to you.

You can consider me an ambassador for Standtastic Christmas Tree Stands.  I was somewhat skeptical at first knowing the base was made of plastic.  All other tree stands for large trees I was seeing were made of metal, however they were all very expensive, and or did not look very easy to set up.  Well the plastic wasn't an issue at all, the size and overall design worked great, and metal would only make your product more expensive, I don't see how it would improve the stand as the stand is perfect for my needs.

Thanks again.
I have answered your questions below...

Thank you for buying one of our Standtastic Christmas Tree Stands..

We want to be sure that we meet the expectations of our customers so please share with us your experience with the Standtastic.

If you will take a few minutes and give your comment to the questions below I will greatly appreciate it and use the feedback to improve our service or product:

Shipment – Did it arrive as expected? Yes, on time, packed well, all parts included.

Completeness – Did it include all of the parts needed? Yes + a couple extra screws for securing the tree.

Instructions – Was the instruction sheet complete enough? Yes, might consider reformatting the instructions so the pictures line up with the instructions.

Installation – How successful were you in setting up your tree? Very successful.  Hardest part was lifting the tree into the stand, other than that attaching to the stand was easy, and straightening was simple.

Straightness/Stability – How tall was your tree?  Did the Standtastic hold your tree straight and steady? Tree was only about 11 feet tall this year, but a very wide base of branches (well over 6 feet in diameter).  Once in the stand it was incredibly stable.  I have two small children, a dog, and two cats, and I wasn't at all concerned about the stability of the tree.  I usually need to use wires to help secure the tree towards the top, but didn't even need to bother the tree was so stable.

Water Capacity – Was the capacity adequate?  More than.  Tough part was emptying the water that was not used out prior to getting the tree down.

Harold the stand is the best Christmas tree stand I have ever used. It seems the tree is drinking the water real well with the IV. The plastic lid for the jug doesn't seem to be very strong and might break. An extra one would be nice just in case. Thanks Again, Raye

Harold,
Not sure when we purchased our first tree iv but it had to be close to  seven or eight years ago. It does work, we have a large bay window that is 14 feet wide and we try to get a tree that covers the window. With the tree iv, the tree stay fresh with limited needle lost.
I have told friends about the tree iv and they are now using it.
Have a wonderful holiday season.
Thanks

Oh yes, the tree is up and the IV kit installed, we have used this stand and kit for over 10 years and the bands broke about 3 years ago.  I was at a loss as to where to get replacement bands so we bought a different kind of stand, and then picked the tree up all three years with many broken ornaments.  I also found that the tree was almost crisp by Xmas.    I was really excited to find the website the day I placed the order, I am looking forward to the tree staying fresh till New Years once again and not having to re-do the tree the same day I finish it.......Thanks for having the website, you have a really happy Mom once again with my new stand and kit!!!

We really love it!

Have A Great Day!

This one is from the City of Houston Fire Department.  We put a test tree in their offices the week after Thanksgiving, and it drank over 20 gallons of water.

They took it to a local TV station on January 2 and before live TV cameras tried to set it on fire using newspaper torches.

It wouldn't even ignite, but another tree not kept on Christmas Tree I-V burned to the ground in less than 20 seconds!
